About Us

First Games was founded in 2021, with the Maroubra and Earlwood locations each having their humble beginnings as temporary, after-hours event spaces within First Education’s tutoring centres (thanks Harry!). As the scope of the business expanded, both stores moved to their own shop locations in 2022, giving our growing communities a chance to flourish! Since March 2024, we now have just the one location in Maroubra, to best focus on making our business awesome!

At First Games we pride ourselves on putting our players first and trying our hardest to fulfill the needs of Sydney’s tabletop gamers. We run events every day of the week to best accommodate our patrons, including board game nights, Warhammer, special events and tournaments for trading card games, plus more! We have a thriving Magic: The Gathering scene, as well as regular events for Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokemon, and One Piece TCG players – check out our Events pages and Facebook profiles for more details.
